By educating institutions, supporting meaningful legislation, and assisting organizations and businesses in building effective AI solutions that adhere to the highest ethical and moral principles, we envision a society that understands data and harnesses its potential to the benefit of all.

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) was founded in 1988 as a non-profit public-private partnership. It has research facilities in Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken and Bremen, Niedersachsen, laboratories in Berlin, Darmstadt and Lübeck, and a branch office in Trier. With 27 research departments and more than 1,500 employees, in the field of innovative commercial software technology using artificial intelligence, DFKI is one of the leading AI research centers in Germany.
