Life at Kaiserslautern

Tucked in near the border with France and Luxembourg and comfortably close to Switzerland, Belgium, Liechtenstein, and Italy, Kaiserslautern is one of the best locations in Southwest Germany for those who enjoy nature and peaceful living but still want to be close to major European cities.

Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, or Zurich are all under four hours away, as are countless forests, lakes, and skiing spots. The town itself is a university town; it dates back to the 9th century and lies in the middle of a mountain range known as the Pfälzerwald, or Palatinate Forest.

With fresh air, a mix of generations for residents, and most of the continent close at hand, it’s an ideal place to work and study.
